I don’t think this post has a main point. I just feel like I should really write one.
I had my last final on Thursday, and start working as an IT assistant for SUA (student union and activities) tomorrow. I’ll be in the cities for the summer, which will be nice. Seems so weird to me that we have about 3 and a half months worth of break. I’ve had the travel bug forever; but this is the summer for making the money that I spent traveling last summer. So it goes.
It is finally warm today. And windy-ish. Like the past 2 weeks straight. I’m not sure how many people get headaches from the wind, but I am definitely one of them; I don’t even have to be outside for it to affect me. Anyway, I’m getting started on my summer goals of “making things”. Today I painted on the front porch for awhile… I’m not finished yet, but I need to stop for today, or at least a few hours, so the paint can dry. I don’t have much experience painting abstract, but I’m trying it out. Other things to make: continue on the sweater I’m knitting, make a coffee table (maybe?), turn a painting into a key holder, sew another dress and a couple skirts, and make some book marks. SO CRAFTY!
My nerd-ucation continues (adding to sci-fi novels and movies, and final fantasy 7 playing) with Rising Stars comics. I’m not embarassed. They’re super good. Thank you Willie for being such a good teacher. I’m on issue 9 of 24.
